I am 58 years old and live on Södermalm in Stockholm with my cat Lisa.
I have always been interested in science and especially mathematics. Studied chemistry and math at KTH and Stockholm University, which resulted in me defending my dissertation in theoretical chemistry in 1995 (mainly computer simulations of large molecules) at Karolinska Institutet.
After a few years as a researcher in the US and UK, I got tired of the fact that the results from the simulations quite often did not match the experiments, the computers were simply too slow in the 90s ... The most fun part was probably the computer graphics, with all the beautiful shapes of large proteins and DNA helices.
Painting has also been an interest throughout my life and around 2004 I re-saddled and started painting. I worked almost daily for many years and had a number of exhibitions in Sweden, mainly in Stockholm.
About 4 years ago I also started with silversmithing. It gradually took over the painting and now I have a small silver workshop where I can do most things. Has always been fascinated by three-dimensional shapes, which led me to sand casting.
I quickly discovered the limitations of sand casting and just over two years ago, the idea of MSC began to grow ....
